about
About the Estate
The Bram Stoker Estate shares the life, work and legacy of the author of Dracula. We bring together historical information, research resources and stories from the family’s world, helping readers and researchers find their way into a remarkable literary life. We aim to promote the memory of Bram Stoker.
What we do
We develop and share information about Bram and his writing, draw attention to relevant collections, and consider enquiries about publications, exhibitions and creative projects. Family objects and papers can contribute to that work where owners agree and appropriate permissions are in place.
Evidence and interpretation
We aim to distinguish surviving evidence, later recollection and interpretation. Research is ongoing, and different readings of Dracula can enrich its study. We welcome corrections and new information that help make the historical record clearer.
Collections and privacy
Bram’s material is dispersed among museums, libraries and private collections. The Estate does not own every item described on this website. Archives identifies repositories, while object records give agreed credits. We respect the privacy of living family members and private owners.
