Accuracy. The Bram Stoker Estate takes care to make the information on this website accurate, but cannot guarantee that it is complete, correct or up to date. Research is ongoing, and we welcome corrections through the Contact page.
Links. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. They do not mean that the Estate endorses those websites, their content, their products or their organisers, and the Estate is not responsible for them. Listing an event on this website is not an endorsement of the event.
Bram Stoker’s works. The original published text of Dracula is in the public domain in the UK, Ireland, the US and many other countries. A modern translation, edition, illustration, adaptation or recording may carry separate rights. Certain previously unpublished works may remain protected under rules such as the UK’s provisions for pre-1989 unpublished material. Check the particular work, publication history, intended use and territory; the Estate can help direct an enquiry.
Trade marks and endorsement. The public-domain status of an original work does not itself grant permission to use a trade mark related to Bram Stoker and his works. Trade mark protection depends on the registration, territory, classes and proposed use. Contact the Estate about commercial branding and confirm relevant rights before use.
Images. Credits distinguish Estate-owned photographs from images supplied under licence or reproduced from other collections. A family-owned object and a photograph of it may have different rights. Event organisers retain the rights in their submissions and grant the Estate the agreed publication permission.
Rights and credits
Copyright, trade marks and credits. Original website material is credited to the Bram Stoker Estate where it or members of the family own the relevant rights. Historic texts, artworks and third-party images retain their own rights status and credits. Please contact the Estate about reproduction requests. Uses permitted by applicable law are unaffected; publication here does not itself grant a reuse licence.
