A Bram Stoker walk through Dublin
Begin with the places of Bram’s education, work and reading, rather than treating every vampire story as documented biography.
This is a self-guided reading route. Check opening, transport and accessibility with each operator, use public paths and crossings, and respect private homes. Stops may be omitted or visited separately.
1. Trinity College
Begin at College Green and the campus where Bram studied. Visitor access and research access differ.
2. 30 Kildare Street
Continue to the documented Stoker plaque. View the exterior from public space.
3. St Ann’s Church, Dawson Street
The church associated with Bram and Florence’s marriage. Respect worship and check visiting arrangements.
4. Dublin Castle
The setting of Bram’s civil-service work. The modern visitor route is not a reconstruction of his office.
5. Marsh’s Library
Finish at the library whose records document Bram’s reading. Book or check visitor access before going.
